Straight As A Jalebi

Straight As A Jalebi – Pre-Orders now open! #SAsAJ

I know, I know… It’s been forever…

At least I didn’t wait six months before posting this time! Only four… 🙈 Sorry!

Still, I come bearing some lovely news!

I was able to share the cover of Book 2 in the Rishtay Series, Straight As A Jalebi, last time, and today I am so pleased to let you know that the publisher has set up the pre-order on Amazon for the Kindle version!

The release date is 1st June. 💛

And scroll down below for another little treat!

It is 99p right now, so a bargain!

And if you haven’t read it yet, Marriage Unarranged, Book 1 is a steal at 79p, too!

A teaser blurb…

Who knew that an innocent trip to India would have such an impact on his life?

Sunny had only gone as a chaperone for his sister and her best friend and to attend to a few business matters.

He’s ended up with a deal that was to change the shape of his professional future and possibly his personal one too.

Because the road to love isn’t always straight…

Ritu Bhathal is a fresh, new and much-needed voice for British Asian fiction.
Straight is the second book in The Rishtay Series.

Place your pre-order, here!

That little treat? Well, if you preorder Straight As a Jalebi and send me proof (use the ‘contact me’ form here, or message me via Instagram), I will put you in a draw to win a signed copy of the book when it comes out in paperback a little while after the Kindle release date!

I’m nervous but so excited to bring book baby 2 into the world in two short months!

  1. Congratulations on setting up the pre-order for Straight As A Jalebi! The cover looks amazing and the teaser blurb has definitely piqued my interest. I was wondering if you could share a bit about your writing process for this book? Did it differ from that of Marriage Unarranged?

    1. Thank you so much!
Gosh, yes, it was very different.
Marriage Unarranged was a labour of love. That first, and I thought, only book I would write. It took years as I didn’t really know what I was doing.
Jalebi started because the characters wouldn’t quieter down in my head, plus readers asked for more, hence it was started with more of a plan, and written faster, (MU took nearly 18 years! SAsAJ took 2!) because I was more focussed and knew it would be published!
And, book 3, I hope will be even faster!
      Thank you for asking!
